We enable decision makers to anticipate moves and countermoves and foresee their consequences.

Let's Play.

What is Wargaming

  • Wargaming is a role-playing simulation of a dynamic situation.
  • With the findings of a war game, decision makers can better evaluate their alternative strategies and recognise which hidden opportunities to seize and which threats to blunt.
  • It is a viable way of gaining insights when there are too many unknowns and too many dimensions of a problem to consider.
  • It is also a tool of particular value when the business environment is undergoing a process of change.

How does it work

  • A business war-game typically evolves several years into the future, allowing the participants to 'experience' future dynamics in the organisational environment and, consequently, to develop foresight.
  • It forces participants to make decisions and respond to the external environment, to test the robustness of their assumptions and see the consequences of their decisions.

When should you use it

  • To test your strategy or develop contingency plans.
  • To gain predictive insights.
  • To ascertain direction of the A&D industry or particular segment.
  • To ascertain a geopolitical fall out or predict one.
  • To understand competitor dynamics.
  • While entering the A&D sector or while entering a new geography.
  • When introducing a new product.
  • To understand consequences of a regulatory policy or to test a policy decision.
  • To gain insights in complex government procurement programs.

It was a great experience to be part of the war game organised on one of the most important events in Indian corporate history I.e corporatisation of OFB. Team formation were well thought of having abundant experience in their respective fields and that’s the reason of a very fruitful discussion and outcome in the wargame. I look forward to having to more such wargames with Insighteon Consulting.

The point that impressed me most was the wide canvas you covered in very limited time. The initial write up was sketchy and only people having prior knowledge and experience could contribute significantly. To bring in fresh thinking we need to have the initiate write-up a little more elaborate and try to get some experts who have no direct previous connection. This would give a sense of what people outside the system think.
A brilliant effort.which could be of great help to MOD

It was an enlightening experience for me as well to be part of the war game which was conducted so well. I can imagine the hard work of many days which went into creating realistic narratives and requirements to bring out meaningful lessons and course correction. It was nice to share a platform with such eminent professionals and thinkers , who were crystal clear in their analysis and views. Looking forward to such events in future as well.

It was a wonderful experience being a participant in the war-game. Honestly, I didn't even know how war-games are conducted. On the particular theme of Aeroengine development, I must say that I am now educated about so many pushes and undercurrents that prevail in the country. This was a timely exercise and I hope some positive actions will follow.Bringing so many leaders onboard for this task must have taken a lot of effort. On the conduct of the war-game: let me first commend the patience and open-mindedness of the Insighteon team. Time overrun is also a serious problem, for we couldn't send our responses by e-mail more thoughtfully. Great show Insighteon!
